If in the ancient iconographic tradition the comet star, universal symbol of the Nativity, indicates the direction and the way to the Magi, in LaNotteS'Appvicina by Fabrizio Cicero it is proposed instead at a first reading as the protagonist of a poetic mise en scène of contemporary disorientation, in which the star - which has always been considered a guide and point of reference - gets lost and falls, also getting lost.

Not just one, but the entire mausoleum of lost and fallen stars that gives life to the installation seems to restore that collective and widespread feeling of precariousness and uncertainty, typical of a world gripped by an increasingly evident crisis of values and a spiritual impasse .

On closer inspection, therefore, the interpretation can in fact be completely different and put in other terms. The night is approaching, yes, but bringing with it darkness and darkness as an opportunity to perceive the world and the surrounding reality in a different way, more intimate and collected, literally in another light.

Perhaps the Comets have not gotten lost at all, on the contrary, they have made an appointment, finding themselves after a centuries-long journey in a single magical place. And perhaps it is no coincidence that this meeting place is the Cavallerizza, a space finally destined to be restored to its former glory, to return once again to shine as it deserves.
