In the 10th year, MAXXI has chosen to give great space to Italian creativity.
The REAL_ITALY exhibition presents the winning works in 2017 of the first two editions of the MiBACT Italian Council call. Objectives of the call: the support and promotion of Italian artists abroad and the growth of public collections, thanks to the production of works by some of the major protagonists of the national contemporary scene.
The result is a reading of Italy today through the gaze of art, capable of recounting the different realities present in the area in a fresco of our country between past and present, between identity and memory.
