Jennifer Allora and Guillermo Calzadilla carry out the Blackout project at MAXXI, a body of recent works focused on the theme of energy. The duo puts the exhibition path and the works in close connection, as if to create a "performative" environment. Through the story of a paradoxical situation such as that of Puerto Rico, the artists analyze the criticalities and contradictions related to energy in its relationship with power, research, environmentalism and the global political situation.
