The CAST - Castle of Mountain Stories in Castello Masegra is located in Sondrio within the walls of the Castle of the same name. The museum is defined as a "narrative museum" because it tells the history of Valtellina strongly rooted in the territory through an artistic and cultural journey. The Museum is mainly divided into three thematic areas: climbing, mountaineering and the environment. A multimedia itinerary with videos, immersive devices, images and narrations that follow one another in the three exhibition areas, are of support to the visitor during the visit. The exhibition itinerary is closely linked to the personality of the visitor and to the contents that meet his interest. In fact, the first question he encounters is "do you feel more like a climber or an explorer of the environment?". Based on the answer, the beginning of the visit is determined with a path from "bottom" to "top" or vice versa. The Castello delle Storie becomes an interactive experience in which alpine culture and technology go hand in hand to encourage the discovery of the mountain. The Museum hosts events and temporary exhibitions and educational activities for schools and children.
