The Fondazione Memmo was established in 1990 by Roberto Memmo, with the aim of bringing the world of art closer to a wide audience through direct knowledge of masterpieces of all time.

Starting from 2012, the Fondazione Memmo has launched a new exhibition program entirely dedicated to the contemporary artistic scene, promoting interaction between artists and the city of Rome. The intention is to contribute to the development of the cultural fabric in the area, connecting with international realities and opening a dialogue with other institutions, both local and international.

Through the organization and production of exhibitions, performances, residencies, talks, educational workshops and publications, the Fondazione Memmo is therefore characterized as an observatory linked to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary artistic research.

The Fondazione Memmo affirms its connection with the territory and offers itself as an aggregator and meeting point for the network of relationships composed of international realities in Rome, with the aim of contributing to the development of the cultural fabric in the area, promoting interaction between artists, the city fabric, its history, its identity.
