On the occasion of the European Photography Festival 2021 inspired by the verse of a poem by Gianni Rodari ("On the Moon and on the Earth / make way for the dreamers!") And in continuity with the 2019 Rehang: Archives exhibition, the Maramotti Collection presents a renewed path of the permanent exhibition through a selection of documents and materials from its own library and art archive.

Walking through the rooms that permanently house over two hundred works from the 1950s to today, a series of pop-up showcases contain photographs, documents, drawings, artist's books and ephemera on some of the artists on display, expanding the context of their research and offering increased perspectives on the exhibition path.

The materials relating to Alighiero Boetti, Eliseo Mattiacci, Mario Schifano, Pino Pascali, Jannis Kounellis, Sergio Lombardo and Cesare Tacchi testify, on the first floor, the vitality and artistic ferment in Italy in the sixties and seventies. On the second floor, the energy and creativity of the New York painting scene in the eighties and nineties is told through documentation on the work of Eric Fischl, Julian Schnabel and Ellen Gallagher.

These showcases integrate with a series of digital content made available in the rooms via QR codes as early as 2020, to open and expand new views on the collection.
