Prada Foundation Observatory is an exhibition space dedicated to photography and visual languages, located in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. The Observatory is located on the fifth and sixth floors of the Gallery designed by Giuseppe Mengoni. Thanks to the complete restoration of the rooms, the two upper levels of the Gallery are now available. In fact, walking on the floor of the Observatory, one can observe the exterior of the dome of the Gallery. The Observatory is a point of reference for contemporary photography, in constant evolution and in connection with other historical and artistic disciplines. Fondazione Prada, managing body of the space, develops ways of using photography in the contemporary digital age. The exhibition activity is one of the main ones of the Observatory, which is the protagonist of the contemporary Milanese scene.
