The GAMeC of Bergamo it is the city's Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art , a multifaceted space where temporary exhibitions coexist, experimental projects dedicated to the collections and mediation, integration and educational activities for the various audiences. GAMeC is a workshop of visual culture , a place of investigation, experimentation and dissemination of the languages of modernity, in constant comparison with the demands of our time. The museum was inaugurated in 1991 by the will of the Municipality of Bergamo, has been operating since 2000 through the Association for the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Bergamo, which has the Municipality of Bergamo and TenarisDalmine as founding members and the Banca Foundation as supporters.
