The Fondazione Stelline is a historic Milanese institution established in 1986 by the Lombardy Region and the Municipality of Milan. Its headquarters, one of the buildings deeply rooted in Milan's urban fabric for its historical and architectural values, is located in the area known as Orti di Leonardo in front of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie where the Last Supper is preserved.
For over thirty years, the Fondazione Stelline has been an important center of culture and design, an inclusive and multidisciplinary reality situated in the economic and cultural heart of the city of Milan.
Proposals and research projects exploring artistic expressions increasingly oriented towards international collaborations, the result of intense design work, express the cultural vocation of the Fondazione Stelline, which responds to an open and fluid vision of contemporaneity. Exhibitions dedicated to contemporary art and great photography by renowned authors, as well as concerts, readings, meetings, conferences, publications, and educational workshops for children and families, are actively integrated into the city's cultural calendar and engage closely with the proposals and innovations of the international cultural scene.
Leonardo left an indelible mark in Milan, reinterpreting the unique experience of the great Genius and the Last Supper through today's eyes is the model promoted by the international project Hub Leonardo, which speaks the language of creativity and cultural contamination. The Foundation also houses a Congress Center, a place for communication, fashion, technology, science, and information. Art and culture, in a winning mix also for congress activities, represent a strategic characteristic of the Fondazione Stelline today.
