The exhibition QUI ODESSA. Chronicles from a city holding its breath, organized by Fondazione Stelline and Fondazione Fiera Milano, presents a selection of images and texts from the project "Qui Odessa", developed weekly on the cultural magazine doppiozero.com between April and June 2022.
The exhibition, sponsored by the Ukrainian Consulate in Milan and the Lombardy Region, represents another piece of the collaboration between Fondazione Fiera Milano and Fondazione Progetto Arca. Started on March 30th, it has so far seen the dispatch of 22 trucks carrying over 170 tons of materials (food, personal hygiene products, diapers, disposable tableware, blankets, sleeping bags, and other essential goods, as well as toys and stuffed animals) and the recent production of a video in which six of the most famous Milanese comedians (Giacomo Poretti, Raul Cremona, Elio, Pucci, Enrico Bertolino, and Andrea Pisani) invite to donate for the support of two canteens for refugees managed by Progetto Arca volunteers, active respectively on the borders of Ukraine with Poland and Romania. Fondazione Fiera Milano, together with the Fiera Milano Group, has made available resources, relationships, and logistical capabilities for this appeal, in line with its mission that includes supporting territories and communities.
The works on display were hand-printed in a unique copy in Kharkiv by Andrej Semenenko, in the month of June. The proceeds from their sale, made by invitation thanks to Cambi Casa d'Aste, will be entirely donated to support the activities in Ukraine of Fondazione Progetto Arca. In fact, in case of winning, there will be no additional commissions, the offer will be donated directly to Fondazione Progetto Arca and will be tax-deductible.
Furthermore, Fondazione Mediolanum, which has been supporting Progetto Arca since 2013, participates in the initiative by collecting donations and doubling the amounts raised for the cause.
