From July 13th to 21st, the Stelline Foundation hosts the exhibition Bauer From A to B in the Cloister, showcasing the projects realized by the students of the Bauer Professional Training Center of Afol Metropolitana.
On display are 225 works, including photographs and videos, created by 200 students who attended courses in photography, visual communication, and illustration during the 2018-2019 academic year. It is an exhibition path set up in the cloister of the Stelline Foundation, which is the result of the students' work on the themes proposed in class, reflecting on the work of Leonardo da Vinci.
In the Verdi room, there is a modular sculpture created by the students of the Video Projection Mapping course with the help and supervision of the teacher Fabio Volpi. The students worked on the concepts of perceptions and optical illusions, drawing visual references from Victor Vasarely and Maurits Cornelis Escher. Additionally, the room features videos created within the Motion Design courses, inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci, along with those of Cinema 4D and short documentaries made by the students of the Videomaking course. Each work stems from an educational and research path. Laboratory activities and workshops with European professionals, combined with the contribution of teachers, renowned professionals in multimedia and visual communication.
This year, the exhibition is enriched by two projects from the students of Afol Moda, a professional training school in the fashion design sector. Reflecting on the work of Leonardo da Vinci, through the women's collection "Leosophia," inspired by the multifaceted genius of Leonardo da Vinci. And the children's collection inspired by an illustrated fairy tale created by a former Bauer student.
"Supporting the training paths of the new generations is among the main objectives of the Stelline Foundation, and the collaboration with Afol Metropolitana is becoming increasingly close," emphasizes President PierCarla Delpiano. "The exhibition of the works of the Bauer CFP students has now become an unmissable event, but this year we also wanted to challenge them because two students from their Photography course were selected to participate in our communication project through Instagram 'Leonardo Influencer,' supported and promoted by the Stelline Foundation, Yes Milano, LabCom of the Catholic University, and Afol Metropolitana."
"The collaboration with the Stelline Foundation continues, which has chosen to host the works of the Bauer students this year as well," declares Mario Donno, president of Afol Metropolitana. "This place, so attentive to art and its dissemination, enhances the projects of the new generations who have chosen a path of high education."
For over half a century, the CFP Bauer has been training professionals in photography and visual communication, providing quality training proposals and following a logic of constant updating and development of skills in contemporary professions.
