The work of Francesco Convertini (aka Ciulicchio ) has as its object craftsmanship and the creative process is itself an integral part of the artistic product. The spirit of postmodernism is meticulously realized in his hands. The table - a widely used object in daily life - becomes a means of breaking the narrow and stereotyped perception of art and, through Ciulicchio's intervention, is transformed from an artifact built to fully fulfill its functions, but essentially raw and without no virtue, to a "courageous" and "bold" object, ready to become a work of art.

“The table is the “thing” that I have built several times: it can be dismantled, transported and without screws for the Refa' wks with Archistart; mammoth and modular for Piero Percoco and Tormaresca during Ph.Est 2021; modular and with canopy for the teambuilding event for Edilportale, as well as many other types for just as many clients.

The table is the beginning of every great idea . Even major corporations like Amazon and Google grew out of a simple table in a garage; and I, who want to keep some of my pragmatism, start by building a table. An ordinary table becomes the symbol of my inner revolution , a shape that expresses the will to break free from the usual mental schemes that compromise my full freedom of imagination and control.

From a fully functional but essentially raw table, without any virtues, we move on to a "courageous" and "bold" table, ready for the final evolution in the third stage which stages the impetus inherent in my artistic growth. ”
