The Rooms of Photography are the new home of photography in Venice : the exhibition and research center is the continuation of the journey begun at the Casa dei Tre Oci. The joint initiative of Marsilio Arte and the Giorgio Cini Foundation brings photography to the Boarding School rooms on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, within the Giorgio Cini Foundation, consolidating the natural partnership between photography and the Island, which holds an immense documentary heritage, with one of the most important photographic collections in Europe.

Under the artistic direction of Denis Curti, the Stanze will be an international center for research and valorisation of photography and the culture of images, with exhibitions and reviews in Venice and other Italian cities, laboratories, meetings, workshops, in the belief that photography must continue to have its own specific home in Venice.
