On the occasion of the celebrations of the bicentenary of the death of Antonio Canova (1822/2022), the Pinacoteca Manfrediniana pays homage to the great neoclassical sculptor born in Possagno in 1757. There is numerous evidence of a close relationship between Antonio Canova, the professors and students of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Patriarchal Seminary. Some of these testimonies have been silently guarded by personalities of undoubted value, such as the canon Giannantonio Moschini (1773-1840). The exhibition investigates a part of these Canova memories concerning the famous sculptor, his friends and pupils, and the neoclassical taste of the time.
