The museum, opened to the public in 1996, is located on the ground floor and first floor of an old school building in the historic center of the modern town of Urbisaglia. The Museum offers a rich display of finds from excavations in progress in the Roman city of Urbs Salvia, with a path aimed at illustrating the monuments brought to light (the Temple of Salus Augusta, the cryptoporticus, the amphitheater, the theater) and the phases of life of the Roman city from the 2nd century BC to late antiquity. Particularly interesting are the numismatic and epigraphic collection and the statuary.
