MACTE presents ALL THE MADNESS OF JAC! an exhibition curated by Luca Raffaelli which, through the display of one hundred original paintings, offers visitors the opportunity to enter the world of Jacovitti (Termoli, 1923 – Rome, 1997) whose centenary of his birth is celebrated this year.

ALL JAC'S CRAZIES! playfully delves into the technical and linguistic inventions that made Jacovitti the creator of a surreal world, built thanks to a unique working method that led him to create drawings, stories and dialogues directly with ink.

As the curator Luca Raffaelli explains, the exhibition starts from the analysis of his capacity for comic improvisation, investigating, in the various exhibition sections, the most important characteristics of his working method: the fillers, salamis, worms and inventions which, without any reason logical or narrative, invade his tables; the constant puns, the kinetic lines that show the characters' movements and much more...
