This installation was inspired by the essay The Fold by Gilles Deleuze and Jonahtan Srauss, of which we report some passages translated by us.

The Baroque relentlessly creates folds [...], twists and turns the folds, takes them to infinity. [...] Of the Baroque it is possible to recognize some material characteristics: the horizontal extensions of the lower sections, the low pediments, as low as the curved steps are; matter is treated as mass or aggregate, angles are rounded and straight lines avoided, rounded acanthus is replaced by jagged acanthus, spongy and cavernous shapes are obtained by reproducing travertine, spirals are elaborated that are incessantly generated by new turbulence and end as only a horse's mane or the foam of a wave can end; matter tends to overflow space, to reconcile itself with fluidity, while water itself is divided into masses .
