The Palais de Tokyo is a center of contemporary art, one of the largest and most important in Europe. It is located not far from the Eiffel Tower. The Palais de Tokyo is one of the most important contemporary art exhibition centers in France: you can visit numerous exhibitions and events of contemporary art. The building was inaugurated in 1937, on the occasion of the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques. The current name takes its name from the street on which the building was built: the quai de Tokyo, now avenue de New York. Currently the Palais consists of two wings: the east wing, which houses the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, and the west wing. which contains the Center of Contemporary Art , inside which is the École de Paris, an association of artists. The Palace consists of immense spaces, divided into three floors, with large rooms that allow artists to install works of all sizes, often immersive and interactive.
