The No Man's Land Foundation is a territorial development project through contemporary art that can be repeated all over the world. It takes its name from No Man's Land, a site specific installation created in 2016 by Yona Friedman with Jean-Baptiste Decavèle that covers over two hectares of land. Every year a new permanent installation becomes part of No Man's Land: in 2017 Pian de Pian Piano for No Man's Land Foundation by Alvin Curran, a piano that plays day and night in the woods, in 2018 the performance ADOPTION OF THE SHEEP LESSON N. 1 by Gianfranco Baruchello, in 2019 Solid Ground by Jimmie Durham and No Man's Refuge / Il Rifugio di Tutti by Yona Friedman with Jean-Baptiste Decavèle. The works in 2020 have been added are the permanent site specific installation all the steps I have taken in my life have brought me here, now by Alberto Garutti and the sound installations Gardening with John 1.1, 2006, by Alvin Curran, La Voce dei Poets, 2006, by Donatella Spaziani.

No Man's Land, thanks to the continuous collaboration with schools, students, teachers and families involved, is a social container that hosts and at the same time feeds on the creativity and energy of the local community.
