The Palazzo Ducale in Genoa is one of the symbolic historical places of the Ligurian city: residence of the Doge since 1339, it is today the main center of cultural production in Genoa.
Palazzo Ducale , thanks to the Palazzo Ducal Foundation which manages it, organizes art exhibitions, conferences, series of meetings, festivals, reviews, concerts and activities throughout the year. Palazzo Ducal is a real cultural point of reference for Genoa and for all of Northern Italy.
Massive renovation works were carried out between 1980 and 1992, and today thanks to its spaces for exhibitions and conferences, Palazzo Ducale is also a multifunctional center that offers spaces for exhibitions and conferences.
The collection inside the museum has more than 18,000 pieces including architectural and graphic drawings, books belonging to the library, paintings (by artists such as Martelli, Prampolini, Sironi, Comietti ) , sculptures, furniture, complete furnishings, glass, ceramics, iron beaten and silver.
Here the Foundation organizes a series of conferences as well as art exhibitions and commercial and cultural events.
