The Museo dell'Opera di Santa Croce was established in 1959 and houses masterpieces of Florentine art. Some of the masterpieces present are the " Crucifix" by Cimabue, symbol of the destruction caused by the 1966 flood and the Della Robbia terracotta collection. Symbol of the architecture of the complex is the Pazzi Chapel built by Brunelleschi with decorations by Desiderio da Settignano and Luca and Andrea della Robbia.
