From 24 May to 24 May 2019
From March 2018 Florence has a new place dedicated to modern and contemporary art in a space located on the Noble Floor of Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni .
The historic building, a Renaissance architectural masterpiece by Baccio d'Agnolo , overlooks the visual axis that connects Piazza Santa Trinita with the prestigious Via Tornabuoni. The old mansion - carefully restored - will host the selection of the works that Roberto Casamonti, in his long activity in the world of art, has collected to make up the main body of his collection. The paintings and sculptures on display are the result of years of passionate research that give life to an assembly capable of representing the exceptional historical and artistic evolution that spans the entire 20th century. The curation of the exhibition is by Bruno Corà, the direction of the Collection is entrusted to the art historian Sonia Zampini.
