The Archaeological Museum of Finale is part of the spaces of the Monumental Complex of Santa Caterina in Finalborgo .

The museum itinerary develops in 10 rooms that fascinate for the architectural and historical context in which they are inserted. From the room dedicated to the Finale area, a unique territory for its peculiar naturalistic, environmental, historical and archaeological values, we move, in a chronological sense, towards the spaces that tell the story and evolution of Man starting from 350 thousand years ago . Let's get to know Homo heidelbergensis, Neanderthal man and Sapiens man who animated our territory from prehistory to the Middle Ages with tools, settlements and burials.

But how did our ancestors live? What did they eat? How did they cook? How did they dress? To answer all these questions… while having fun… take part in our workshops in the rooms of the Museum and in the archaeological sites of the area .

The visits, guided by an archaeologist, to the Caverna delle Arene Candide , a reference site for European Prehistory which has returned the important burial of the Young Prince, Archeotrekking and Archeobike itineraries , visits to medieval and Renaissance monuments and frescoes , complete the offer of our Museum.
