Inside the museum, housed inside the deconsecrated church of San Lorenzo, the heart of Cremona's archaeological discoveries is kept.
The more than 500 finds in the building are exhibited according to a thematic itinerary divided into three sections : the public space , where the monumental remains of the church stand out and some parts of the buildings dedicated to civil, religious and leisure functions, the private space , testified by the rich domus of the Labyrinth from via Cadolini, of the Ninfeo from piazza Marconi and via Colletta, and the necropolis , with parts of monuments and funerary objects. Visitors to the Archaeological Museum can also experience the suggestion of accessing a Roman house through the use of an "Oculus " viewer that allows them to move within the virtual recreation of some rooms of the Nymphaeum domus: the peristyle , the pantry and a refined bedroom. The museum pays particular attention to accessibility: it is equipped with educational equipment for the visually impaired and blind and offers materials that are easy to read and understand to accompany the visit.
