It is the best known of the Umbrian residential complexes, built in the second half of the sixteenth century by the cardinal Fulvio della Corgna, nephew of Pope Julius III del Monte . Built on a probable project by Alessiè, surrounded by a vast park with centuries-old trees and hanging gardens. The Villa is enriched by a decorative set with "grotesque" motifs, by a precious wooden coffered ceiling and by a cycle of frescoes depicting the Arts and Virtues , painted in 1581 by the Florentine painter Salvio Savini in the main hall. It hosts conferences, book presentations, guided tours, concerts. Extraordinary openings are periodically scheduled, including in the evening, as well as educational experiences also connected to school-work alternation.
