The painting was donated by the author to the "Cenacolo Artistico Forlivese", an association founded in 1920 by the painter Giovanni Marchini. The decomposition of the figures, the interpretation of the volumes, the diffraction of the light sources and even more the sense of restlessness and excitement denounce the pure futurist matrix of this splendid group portrait by Giacomo Balla.
