This tray fits perfectly in material, shape and decoration in the repertoire of Pasquale Antonibon's manufacture in Nove. The scene of the oriental fisherman depicted on the sheet “glued” on the surface of the tray derives from an engraving by a famous contemporary French ornamentist Jean Baptiste Pillement.
